Renata G. Bushko, M.S. is Author, Futurist and Founder of the Future of Health Technology Institute (FHTI), a health technology think-tank and Strategy Advisory dedicated to defining the health technology development and investment strategy for the 21st century. She founded Future of Health Technology Institute in 1996 and has since chaired twenty Future of Health Technology Summits and worked with more than 1000 world-class experts. These summits engage leading minds from the technology and health fields in envisioning the future of technology for global healthcare. She authored and edited four visionary books: Future of Health Technology, Future of Intelligent and Extelligent Health Environment, Strategy for the Future of Health and World Health Strategy eBook
Renata is also producer of Future of Health Technology video educational channel featuring inventors, scientists, and investors leading health-tech revolution http://www.youtube.com/user/FutureofHealthTech. She is often invited by both government agencies and private sector to design and lead innovation sessions aimed at generating breakthrough ideas and strategic plans for the future.
She was invited to represent US at WHO’S First Medical Devices Forum and Prince Mahidol Conference in Bangkok, High Level eHealth European ministerial meeting and to design Future of Health programs for CDC and Rockefeller Foundation. Previously she served on national healthcare programs organized by Vice President Albert Gore, Dr. C. Everett Koop, and former secretary of Health and Human Services, Dr. L. Sullivan. She was an advisor on health technology investment issues in the US, UK, Puerto Rico, Australia, New Zealand, and Poland while representing US health standards organizations to Australia and Asia.
She worked for 15 years as an executive in computer industry and as an analyst for IDC defining future trends in technology. She holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science with specialization in intelligent systems from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a BA in Computer Science and Economics from Smith College. Her graduate work at MIT was done under Professor Marvin Minsky — one of the founders of the field of Artificial Intelligence.
